Embracing Autumn~

Autumn has crept up on us...even though we are still enjoying the odd  balmy evening and  need that swim to cool down!

I love this time of the year....
Preparing a tablescape in my garden to soak up the last of  those late summer evenings.......

Inspired by many things .........

The colours of autumn...............

A friend's upcoming wedding.......................

And  late summer crops........

I  hope you enjoy as much as I did creating this in the peace and solitude of my garden..................

With all these colours and props,  my creative juices were flowing again......

Love this tableware found at Mr Price Home.....

And waiting patiently for his piece of cheese......my little friend......

Simply in love with this time of the year!

See you soon!
Shel

  1. Thanks so much for your visit to my blog. I have been having so much fun browsing through yours. I see your boys go/went to Grey. I was a boarder at Collegiate and we were all completely in love with the Grey boys! I also saw that you did a post on Woodall in Addo. That was me best friend at school's family farm and I spent many happy weekends there. Her brother has since turned it into the upmarket place that it is now. Your photo's are so beautiful. I'm very happy to have found your lovely blog. Best wishes, Sharon

  7. Hi Shel,
Your photos are just gorgeous and the flowers are lovely! Love the teacups! It seems so strange to me that you are looking forward to Autumn while we are looking forward to Spring! It's amazing how our seasons differ in different parts of the world. Thank you for joining me for my Tea party today and enjoy your week.

    Blessings,

  9. What a beautiful time of year and all of your flowers and fruit and the plates are so gorgeous. I bought some similar style plates with the crown and they are my favorite! I showed them to my friend and we had to search all over the state to find her some for her daughter who just became Miss Orem this year. Enjoy the beautiful weather.

  12. Morning Shel,
So very nice to meet you here in blogland. I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Your pics are simply visions of delight and made my heart sing. You have quite a way with the camera. I am thinking that you must live in Africa from some of the things I saw in your sidebar......am I correct?? So you are now experiencing
Autumn and we are just starting spring here in the United States. Wow, we tend to forget the season are at a different time as well as the time difference.

All your fruit and flowers just looks so luscious and you have made some wonderful vignettes.

Blessings for a most lovely Autumn and I am your newest follower.
