Little Apple and Blueberry cakes in jars!

I've seen this so often on various blogs since I started blogging and really cannot single a particular one out.......yours are truly all beautiful......
I really have been wanting to try this out for a long time......

Love, LOVE dainty things so much.....of course the boys in my life think I'm OTT!!

You could use any recipe I guess, but we love apples and blueberries, so I made mine with the following cake mixture and added a handful of each.....

Recipe~
Cream together 3 Tablespoons of butter and 1 cup of castor sugar.
Add 2 eggs one at a time and beat well.
Sieve together 1 1/2 cups of cake flour and 2 tsps of baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
Add the flour mixture to the cream mixture and then about 1/3 cup of milk.
Pour into the individual jars and add the blueberries/apples on top.
1/2 fill a baking tray with hot water and put the little jars in.
Bake for around 15 minutes at 180deg C.

I added a sauce by boiling together 1/4pd butter, 1 cup of ideal milk and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Prick the cakes with a toothpick and pour sauce gently over.
When slightly cooled....sprinkle with icing sugar.

I set myself a tea tray and had a date with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations on TV!

Feeling very loved....totally spoiled with lots of hearts too all the way from Canada and a dear friend!
