South African Melk Tert~



     The recipe~
This makes 2 large milk tarts or 4 small tarts.

Crust ~  Crushed tennis biscuits and melted butter to form base.
              Refrigerate whilst making the filling.

Filling ~  2 litres of full cream milk
                 6 dessertspoons margarine
                 6 dessertspoons self raising flour
                 6 dessertspoons maizena
                 6 eggs
                 1 1/2 cups sugar

Bring milk and marg to the boil.
Cream sugar, eggs and then flour and maizena. Add to hot milk and stir until it thickens.
(Mine went thick almost instantly)
Sprinkle with cinnamon .
Refrigerate.....serve chilled......excellent......thank you Deon!! (At long last!!  :)))
