Happy Easter!

Easter is a time of the year when we are filled with joy and love!
Have a blessed Easter 2010.

We are off to the sea, to renew, breathe in new life and just enjoy every breath of fresh air!
Who better to spend it with, than my loved ones (or some of them anyway) and the best friends in the world!
Easter hunts on the beach and bonfires!

Lots of love
See you soon!

Drought!

We have a river running deep under our home!

It has been more than 6 months since my city has had decent rainfall. We have a third of our water supply left and each household should be getting by on less than 500lt a day! This is impossible for mine... we are a family of 7 including the staff.

It is now a familiar site to see these drilling machines parked outside almost every 2nd house in my area. I love my garden and the water from the borehole is sweet, almost drinkable except with a high percentage of calcium. We plan to convert most of our water usage inside to this "grey" system as well , so in the long run, we will be saving on consumption and the bonus, less
of our hard earned money will be going to the council!

Thank you Eddie, for a wonderful birthday present!!

As I look outside, the rain is starting to fall... Murphy's Law!

Blessed Easter Greetings!

Cape Town!

It has been pretty trying the past few weeks. Jarryd and I are here on his sporting endeavours! It's been hard and I try so desperately to watch him play his sport... but the harder I try, the more I cannot.... It's rather a joke as I peek through every nook and cranny I can find, to watch him.. the others must think I'm looney! But that's how I cope with it... so intense.

We are at present at a festival in Cape Town and must surely be in the most beautiful spot in Newlands. The hotel is a 'green' hotel. The birdlife and gentle stream outside our room is soul wrenching. The hotel is at the foot of Table Mountain and this afternoon I was privileged to watch the 'table cloth' being draped over her. (The expression for the mist on the mountain)... I am so upset that I forgot my camera but have an old cheapy one to click away.. I'm sure I should get a few good snaps.

At the bottom of the garden is the Liesbeck River and there is still a vineyard growing there.

She's a grand old dame! originally the home of Lady Ann Barnard.

The tortoises were a delight and not phased by anyone...

The heart stones are for them! I found them here!

See you soon!

A New Year.

I'm rather late at getting my blog together this year! It was to be a beautiful Christmas that turned out a challenge. Never plan things as God always has his own plan for your life but with Faith and Love all things are possible....and even if different to what I'd plan, we still had a real good time sharing so much with loved ones.

May this New Year fill your hearts with new hopes, open new horizons and bring promises of a brighter tomorrow.....Anon

PS: I wish to have a little South African give- away next time (hopefully soon!) Just trying to sort out how to go about it! Please bear with me.

See you soon.
